Vocalists interested in performing with the Claremont Chorale are invited to register for the group’s upcoming donation fundraiser choir series at tinyurl.com/ccsmpopupchoir. Auditions are not required.

The setlist includes Franz Schubert’s “Mass in G” from June 12–13, works from Mozart from July 10–11, and selections of Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana” from July 31 to August 1. The series includes rehearsals from 7 to 10 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays, each followed by 2 p.m. performances on Saturdays. The suggested donation for each series is $25.

“This is about lowering the barrier to participation,” wrote Claremont Chorale Artistic Director Alan Wellman in a statement. “There are so many people who love singing but cannot commit to a full season choir. We wanted to create something joyful, welcoming, and accessible — where people can simply show up, sing beautiful music, meet new friends, and be part of something uplifting.”
