Alf opens science residency
Researchers and specialists with expertise in identifying fossilized plants can apply for a paid, short-term science residency at the Raymond M. Alf Museum of Paleontology in Claremont.
“Visiting specialists will contribute to specimen identification, documentation, and recommendations for future research,” reads a statement at alfmuseum.org. “Engagements are structured around defined deliverables and timelines, not ongoing duties.”
Applicants must submit a PDF document including a statement of interest with relevant expertise or experience, two to three professional references, availability between July to October, and a resume via email to bjorgensen@alfmuseum.org.
More info is at alfmuseum.org/plantfossilproject2026.
