Inland Valley Repertory Theatre’s summer theater workshops run June 22 to July 31 at Claremont Community School of Music, 951 W. Foothill Blvd. Classes meet from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays.

The June 22-26 session covers what goes on behind the scenes on a production, including costuming, scene and prop making, acting, and singing. The June 29-July 3 session will teach kids how to adapt familiar stories to the stage. The July 13-17 session will show students how to make stories using popular music.

For the July 20-31 performance camp students will work with a local playwright to craft their own original play to be performed July 31 at University of La Verne.
