Ontario airport gives $83K to USO
Ontario International Airport Authority presented a $82,918 check to United Service Organizations last week, proceeds from its February 14 5K at the Runway fundraiser. The USO provides entertainment and other services for members of the armed forces.
“The success of this event reflects the tremendous appreciation our community has for the men and women who serve our country,” wrote Ontario Airport Authority Board of Commissioners President and member of USO’s California Advisory Board Alan Wapner in a statement. “We are proud that this race not only brings people together in a memorable setting, but also helps support the USO’s important mission of caring for servicemembers and their families.”
