Three CUSD employees were recognized for leadership by the Association of California School Administrators Region 15 at the June 4 Claremont Unified School District Board of Education meeting:
• Senior liaison for youth and family services Rosa Leong was named administrator of the year for classified leadership.
• Director of educational technology and innovation Kara Evans was recognized as educational technology administrator of the year.
• Director of special education Sarah Estrada was named special education administrator of the year.
“Our region serves all of northern LA County which is home to 24 different charters,” Claremont Management Association President Amy Stanger said. “This year it’s quite impressive that we are honoring three team members who were selected as region winners in our respective categories. These are phenomenal individuals and they are exemplary leaders who are in continual service to our students, to our families, and to our community.”
