Police Blotter: April 17, 2026

Monday, April 6

An employee at Knight Claremont Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, 620 Auto Center Dr., called the Claremont Police Department at 8:01 p.m. to report a woman had attempted to purchase a car using fraudulent documents. Responding officers questioned the 44-year-old Bellflower resident and a search allegedly yielded another person’s ID. She was arrested for felony forgery and possession of another person’s personal identifying information then transported to CPD, booked, and released with a citation to appear at Pomona Superior Court.

 

Tuesday, April 7

A guest at the DoubleTree by Hilton Claremont, 555 W. Foothill Blvd., told police a person had attempted to break into their room at 11:25 p.m. An investigation is ongoing.

 

Thursday, April 9

Police questioned a 57-year-old San Bernardino County man at Pepper Tree Square, 342 S. Indian Hill Blvd. at 2:30 a.m. A records check revealed he was on probation, and a search allegedly yielded a narcotics pipe. He was arrested for misdemeanor possession of unlawful paraphernalia and transported to CPD, where he was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine, adding felony bringing a controlled substance into a detention facility to his charge list. He was booked and later released with a citation.

 

Friday, April 10

Police conducted a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Towne Avenue in Pomona at 12:26 a.m. Records checks of the driver, a 42-year-old Fontana man, and the passenger, a 34-year-old man from Pomona, both returned felony warrants out of San Bernardino County. Police allegedly found a narcotics pipe on the Pomona man while he was being arrested, adding misdemeanor possession of unlawful paraphernalia to his charge list. Both were transported to CPD and booked. The Pomona man was transported to West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga. The Fontana man was issued a citation and released due to a medical issue.

An employee of a healthcare business in the 600 block of S. Indian Hill Boulevard notified CPD at 9:07 a.m. that a former client had called and threatened to harm the business. An investigation is ongoing.

An employee of Chevron/McDonalds, 860 S. Indian Hill Blvd., called police at 10:47 p.m. to report a person refusing to leave. Arriving officers questioned a 43-year-old San Dimas man, and a records check showed he was on probation. A search of his person allegedly turned up methamphetamine, a search of his car a narcotics pipe and unlabeled pills. He was arrested for misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and unlawful paraphernalia, transported to CPD, booked, and released with a citation.
