Police Blotter: May 8, 2026

Friday, April 24

A person made multiple calls throughout the day to Claremont police complaining of excessive noise coming from a residence in 600 block of W. Eighth Street. Police responded at 4:53 p.m. and arrested a 21-year-old Claremont man for misdemeanor disturbing the peace. He was transported to the Claremont jail, booked, and released with a citation to appear at Pomona Superior Court.

 

Sunday, April 26

A person told police their former partner was violating a protective order by being outside their home on the 700 block of S. Indian Hill Boulevard at 10:14 p.m. Arriving officers attempted to question the man but he fled. An investigation is ongoing.

 

Tuesday, April 28

Police pulled over a 35-year-old Los Angeles woman for equipment and moving violations at 2:40 a.m. near Arrow Highway and Elder Drive. A records check returned felony and misdemeanor warrants from LA County, leading to her arrest. She was transported to CPD, booked, and released with a citation.

 

Wednesday, April 29

CPD responded to College Park, 100 S. College Ave., at 7:30 a.m. after a woman reported her husband had struck her during an argument. Arriving officers arrested a 37-year-old Upland man for misdemeanor domestic violence and transported him to the Claremont jail, where he was booked and held for court. He was released the following day.

 

Friday, May 1

Police stopped a 61-year-old Chino man for vehicle equipment violations at 12:15 a.m. at Foothill Boulevard and Equation Road in Pomona. A records check of his passenger, a 47-year-old Pomona man, showed a misdemeanor warrant. A search of the driver allegedly yielded narcotics, and the passenger, a narcotics pipe. A search of the car allegedly turned up methamphetamine, digital scales, and bags. Officers arrested both men for felony possession of controlled substance with intent to sell, transportation of a controlled substance for sale, and possession of a controlled substance with two or more priors. The Pomona man was also taken into custody on the warrant. Both were transported to CPD, booked, and held for court. They appeared at Pomona Superior Court on Tuesday.

CPD responded to an 11:30 p.m. suspicious person report from a caller in the 100 block of Castleton Drive. A records check of the suspect, a 35-year-old Pomona man, revealed a misdemeanor San Bernardino County warrant, and he was arrested and transported to CPD. During booking police said they found him to be in possession of cocaine, and they charged him with felony bringing drugs into a jail and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. He was then released with a citation to appear in court.

 

Saturday, May 2

Officers responded to reports of an altercation at Brighton Park Apartments, 1415 Morton Circle, at 5:15 p.m. The victim alleged a 46-year-old Claremont woman slapped them during an argument. A records check showed the victim had an active restraining order against the woman, who was subsequently arrested for felony domestic violence and violation of a court order, transported to CPD, booked, and held for court.

 

Sunday, May 3

A person called CPD at 2:52 a.m. to report their car window had been shattered and items were stolen. An investigation is ongoing.

Police responded to Super King Market, 436 Auto Center Dr., at 10:56 a.m., after a caller reported their gold chain had been stolen by a trio of people driving a brown Mercedes sedan. The victim said the alleged thieves used distraction tactics to surreptitiously replace their necklace with a fake one. An investigation is ongoing.

 

Tuesday, May 5

Police responded to a 10 a.m. commercial burglary report at Riding 5, 987 W. Foothill Blvd. Arriving officers found a large hole cut in the back door, which multiple suspects used to unlock the deadbolt and gain entry. The burglary between 2:30 and 3:30 a.m. netted 10 electric bikes and cash. Anyone with information about this crime is urged to call CPD at (909) 399-5411.
